I submitted mine yesterday and gave him an SEO makeover. The excessive use of <h3> might not be a good idea, but that's your own perogative. I've decided if he wants to leave that much garbagio on his homepage, <h3> or <h4> wasn't going to be a good idea. Personally, he had way too many <ol>'s going on, so I divided it up and made some definition lists instead. Anyway, I tracked this site down since you were listed on the trackbacks over there. He's getting hit up pretty heavy with those F*ing online poker spammers. They annoy me. But hey, I hear ya on the amount of work that went into it. It was a pain. You have no idea how mad my wife got a me when she found out I stayed home the entire saturday doing this while she slaved away running errands etc...
